Arne Jacobsen ( 1902-1971 ) at first designed this pendant exclusively for the interior of the Royal SAS Hotel in Copenhagen. It has been considered an instant classic and later being produced from the 1960ies until today.
This pendant is very suitable above a large table, the half-sphere metal shade has 4 bulbholders which provide a powerful source of light downwards. Through the ring-shaped louvres some light is directed to the ceiling as well.
Good condition, also available in dark brown and matt black.
