This modernist floor light from the ‘Globe’ series is most exemplary for the work of Dutch designer and architect Aldo van den Nieuwelaar. The designs of van den Nieuwelaar can be characterised as exoticly minimal and down to the minutest perfectly balanced. This rare light was produced by Dutch company Domani for only a few years and in quite a limited edition because lots of components had to be hand-made at the time. Perfect original opaline glass globe ( dia 35 cm ) The white painted iron pipe construction is made out of one piece. The light quite heavy and stable. Good condition, electrical parts have been checked.
