Rare old edition counter balance wall light, designed by Hoogervorst for the Anvia lighting company. Thanks to the metal swinging arm suspension the arm can be directed in almost all positions. The shade is also movable thanks to the ball-socket joint.

During the 1950s, lighting company Anvia became succesful developing a great number of subtle lighting designs, inspired by the innovative products of Arteluce and Stilnovo. Thanks to the use of elementary shapes made out of folded steel and slender tube parts their designs outshine in an elegant appearance and evoke the spirit of Dutch midcentury very well.
