ADJUSTABLE BRASS WALL LIGHT
PRODUCER: ARTIMETA SOEST 1955

After the second world war, Artimeta was one of the Dutch companies that became successful producing small metal furniture and lighting designs in a new, innovative European style. The origin for using slender shapes and colorful metal for their lighting designs can be found in the work of French and Italian designers from the same era.
Here offered a great fifties brass and black swinging arm light. Quite large sized; when fully extended the light has a depth of 130 cm from the wall. Typical midcentury hallmarks are asymmetrical shape of the shade and the slender swinging arm construction.
Very good condition. Nice proportioned minimal design and very symbolic for post-war European modernism.
