Fantastic set of two Dutch design sidetables / nightstands. Produced by Auping, design attributed to Wim Rietveld / Dick Cordemeijer. Typical Dutch hallmarks are the angular graphic shapes and the color scheme. The top is made of multiplex wood, light grey color. The frame is made of black metal, and has a integrated sheet metal shelve. At the time, two sizes were available. This is the big edition.

Auping was founded by Johannes Auping, who started more than a century ago designing and producing quality beds on a small scale in Deventer. Later the production was expended and also smaller furniture was develloped. The company worked with a number of famous designers such as W. Rietveld, A. Cordemeyer and F. Kramer.
