During the sixties, the Pop Art movement gave birth to a brand new mode of expression in furniture and lighting design; radically departing from all that had gone before, designers delighted in adopting the visual language of space flights, television, commerce and the ‘ordinary life’, to create work that was playful and provocative. The Italian Bieffeplast lighting and furniture company worked with a number of famous designers, such as Joe Colombo, Sergio Camilli and Rodney Kinsman.
