Rare modernist floor light, designed and produced in the fifties. European origin, attributed to Anvia or Hagoort. Subtle size and finish; The light has a complete metal stem and tripod base, covered with the original grey wrinkle paint which evokes a subtle fifties atmosphere. The shade looks like it is made of fabric, but in fact it is made of hard, solid fibreglass / resin and with a rough texture and give a fantastic warm light when lit. Comfortable pull switch chord coming out of the ( common ) E27 bulbholder.
The Dutch fifties floor lamp designs of Anvia, Hagoort and Hiemstra are clearly influenced by the designs of Sarfatti, Stilnovo and Cosack.
In very good condition and in perfect working order, wiring has been replaced and all electrical parts have been checked.
