The design team Albini, Helg and Piva did an amazing job created the most efficient AM/ AS lighting series for the Sirrah company. It was developed in the late sixties, and contains a wide range of quality finished metal pendants, wall-, table- and floor lights. Most of them where executed in high gloss chrome plated metal.
Franco Albini worked with various producers, a.o. Arteluce, Knoll, Arflex and Cassina. Albini is also well-known for designing the famous ‘Gala’and ‘Margherita’ rattan chairs. The Sirrah company developed a number of exclusive modernist lights which now are sought after.
This sconce with this particular shade is quite rare. Heavy metal arm holding a concentric ’trumpet’ shade. All high end chrome plated metal. Made for built-in-wiring, and thanks to the changeable shade element the light can be used as an uplighter or downlighter in a matter of seconds. Good and complete condition.
