During the fifties, Dutch furniture company Fristho takes its first steps on the international market. As customer demand changes, the need to innovate is growing and the company will produce furniture with emphasised sleek, modernist lines. During that period, Fristho has worked with a number of famous designers such as Kho Liang Ie, William Watting, Mart Franckena and Rudolf Glatzel.
The sideboard offered here is from the ‘Modern Art Series’ by William Watting, and reflects the European minimal era very well; it has a distinctive clean and angular line. At the time, the ‘Modern Art’ series was exposed at international exhibition rooms.
Thanks to the subtle brass legs and details this sideboard has a very appealing elegant, floating appearance. The modest size makes it a great addition to almost every type of space.
Great condition without water marks or damages. Some small restaurations on the handles, hardly visible.
