Pilastro Magazine rack / side table, complete made of metal. Showed in the 1960s Goed Wonen ( Dutch decorative magazine), the model is called ‘Gazetta’ and the design is by Tjerk Reijenga. Thanks to the use of wire and ( perforated) sheet metal this table has a very light, transparant appearance, but with all the right fifties hallmarks! The subtle color scheme black, white and olive makes it adapt in any ( midcentury modern ) space.
Together with Tomado, Pastoe and Artimeta, Pilastro was one of the Dutch companies that became succesful producing small metal household furniture in a new innovative European style. The early fifties style of Mategot and Prouve was of great influence.
