True Italian sixties Icon, this impressive floor light called ‘Quadrifoglio’. Designed by Gae Aulenti for Harvey Guzzini during the sixties. Made out of a chrome branche structure holding a biomorphic, soft looking acrylic shade. The lamp has three lightsources: two E14 bulbs inside the shade, and one E27 ‘uplight’ in the middle. They can lit separate, it has the original multi- floor switch in the wire . Thanks to the sensuous curves and elegance this piece evokes a fantastic 1960s Italian style atmosphere. The lightsource in the shade gives a warm, diffused light. When not lit, the shade has a soft looking, salmon color. Great condition, no warping, melting or cracks in the shade.

All parts of the light are in great condtion, no cracks, warping or melting in the shade, all electrical parts have been checked, wiring replaced through the lamp ( 250v, suitable for modern LED bulb if desired). Italian architect and industrial designer Gae Aulenti is one of the few well recognized women in postwar design. Aulenti made a name with a broad spectrum of elegant and innovative work for a.o. Zanotta, Artemide, Guzzini and Tecno.
In the early fifties, the sons of Mariano Guzzini founded a small Italian company, ‘Harvey Creazioni’. After first producing artistic brass objects, the production later was supplemented by the manufacture of high quality lighting equipment in plastic.
