Great Dutch design dining table by AP originals, black metal frame with wooden ends. Off white / light grey formica top with black plastic edge. Having a close look at the surface of the formica, you’ll discover it has a very light fifties pattern printed in it, very refined ( see picture ).
As editor of the Goed Wonen magazine, Hein Salomonson supported the modern style living in the Netherlands during the rebuilding years. He also was one of the architects of the ‘Nieuwe Bouwen’ style, the Dutch branch of the International School of Modernism. He drew inspiration from the work of modernist architects such as Le Corbusier and Gerrit Rietveld. The AP 103 table is advertised in the Goed Wonen catalogue of the late 1950ies.
This table can be taken apart in flat pieces, which makes it quite affordable and easy to ship.
