This sturdy table light design dates to about 1950, origin most probably Germany. The light features both industrial and mid-century looks; nice matching brass on / off switch on the light’s head, typical matted brass paint finish on the tripod base and attractive looking die-cut tear pattern.
The adjustable head makes it possible to put light exactly where you want it, and thanks to the solid ball-and-socket joint it will stay firm in this position. Similar ‘industrial’ looking joints I have seen to some lighting designs by Kaiser and Sis, both German lighting companies.
