Design icon by Dutch designer Janni van Pelt, this elegant G3 table. This quite large coffee table displays the exemplary talent of the Dutch minimal furniture movement of the fifties.
This is the most attractive edition; it is the earliest edition, so with 3 ( not 4 ) tapered slim legs, no crossbar and thick metal ring holding a reinforced clear glass top. These tables were made in own production by Bas van Pelt during the fifties and sixties, sought after and rare at this moment. Makes a great match with 1950ies wood related furniture such as the Pastoe Japanese series or Industrial pieces by Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld. Great opportunity if you are a collector of Dutch midcentury modernism!
Thanks to the heavy, solid metal ‘flat steel’ base the table keeps very stable. The black color complements the bright wireglass very well. This is a piece that has the quality to keep a solemn and timeless appearance, irrespective of what type of interior it will be added to.

The first “My Home” / Bas van Pelt editions of this table were already produced during the fifties. Later pieces were produced by Dutch modernist furniture producer Metaform. This very table has been taken care of during the last 50 years by one owner! Good condition, only minimal usermarks. This table design is pictured in the 1950s/1960s ‘Goed Wonen’ decorating magazine. When ordered this item will be shipped with excellent packing service.
