‘SZ 01’ LOUNGE CHAIRS

Early edition SZ01 lounge chairs: that means one supporting bar under the seat, and without supporting bar in the back, all original. The chair was designed back in 1960 by Martin Visser ( Netherlands ), who can be mentioned in the same phrase as Cees Braakman and Wim Rietveld.
Condition: The rattan as well as the matt chrome metal frame has been inspected well and there are no broken weldings, cracks, or missing rattan pieces. All rattan is still attached perfect to the frame, and has a great color due to aging. There are minor differences between the two chairs; one chair has more wear on the armrests, one chair is 1 cm higher ( original ) and slightly darker.
In particular this SZ01 chair was clearly influenced by late fifties Danish design by o.a. Poul Kjaerholm and Fabricius Kastholm. The use of Rattan was also common for several Dutch chair designs by Dirk van Sliedregt and Rohe. Great opportunity!
