During the fifties, many Dutch companies became very successful producing small, affordable household equipment and small furniture made of metal, like these nice modest wiring stools, made in the manner of the Pastoe chair SM05, which at the time of its introduction in the mid-fifties was one of the first chairs to be manufactured entirely of steel wire.
