Quite rare version of this type of Pastoe desk which usualy comes with a drawer box instead of a box with one door. Same space though, and inside there are 2 useful sliding shelves.
The characteristic metal wire legs gives a floating appearance to the top and drawer box.
Very minimal, but still quite a large top to work at. This type of desks are characteristic for the post-war rebuilding era of the Netherlands, easy to mass-produce, and takes hardly any space.

Good condition.

Can be shipped quite easily when taken apart.

The forward-thinking designs by Dutch furniture companies such as Pastoe, Tijsseling, Fristho and Propos paved the way for success from the fifties. Many young Dutch designers went to the US to study design and production processes at the time and their designs clearly are inspired by the work of Eames and Knoll. Braakman and Pastoe introduced the bent plywood techniques into their first line of modern furniture.
