MEASUREMENTS: W 123, D 62 H, 75 CM

Birch plywood desk from the early fifties designed by Cees Braakman for UMS Pastoe, Netherlands.
The typical bended legs and the light birch wood gives this iconic piece of furniture all the right vintage hallmarks and offers a maximum of functionality; quita a large top and two small drawers. Very elegant looks. Normal usermarks and discoloration by aging on the top. Overall great condition, no damages, no bugs, great color.

The forward-thinking of Dutch designer Cees Braakman paved the way of success for the Dutch Pastoe furniture company. In his early career Braakman went to the US to study design and production processes. Clearly inspired by designs of Eames and Knoll, Braakman and Pastoe introduced the bent plywood techniques into their first line of modern furniture.
