Great Dutch design piece of furniture. Most attractive detail here are the original chrome plated flat-steel legs, which gives this desk a floating appearance. The golden brown teak veneer in combination with the white drawers, the rectangular shapes and the asymmetrical accent gives this desk all the mid-century hallmarks.
Very minimal, but still quite a large top to work at, and the 3 drawers offers lot of space.
Good condition.

The forward-thinking designs by Dutch furniture companies such as Pastoe, Tijsseling, Fristho and Propos paved the way for success from the fifties. Many young Dutch designers went to the US to study design and production processes at the time and their designs clearly are inspired by the work of Eames and Knoll. Braakman and Pastoe introduced the bent plywood techniques into their first line of modern furniture.
