PASTOE TM SERIES MAGAZINE HOLDER SIDE TABLE

DESIGN: CEES BRAAKMAN 1954

MEASUREMENTS: L 56, H 50, W 44 CM

PRICE: ON REQUEST

Very rare magazine holder side table by Cees Braakman for Pastoe, early fifties. Clever metal black wire construction with perforated sheet metal holder and birch multiplex top. I’ve just encountered a few during the last 10 years, this is the most rare model of the TM series.

The forward-thinking designs of Cees Braakman (1917-1995) paved the way for success for Pastoe from the early fifties. In the beginning of his career Braakman went to the US to study design and production processes. Braakman and Pastoe introduced the bent plywood techniques into their first line of modern furniture. Cees Braakman was one of the most influentual designers of the Netherlands after the second world war.
Good condition, with minor usermarks. Great opportunity and a must have for Pastoe collectors!
