Highly decorative and functional modular system in a subtle color scheme black, petrol, white and olive ( and two colored bookends ) Very complete and in a great condition. Lots of perforated metal, evoking a fantastic fifties atmosphere.

Large writing desk shelf ( 73 x 46 cm ) black

Light box petrol ( two E 14 bulb holders, checked + rewired )

Drawer shelf ( black and white )

Perforated magazine holder ( black )

3 black wall supports

2 colored metal bookends and 1 black metal letter holder.

And all the hooks for the shelving.

Easy to create your own combination thanks to the adjustable hooks and wall support system. Takes hardly any space and offers a nice working spot / writing desk alternative. Dutch company Pilastro ( Zwanenburg ) became succesful during the fifties, producing many symbolic small furniture. Designer Tjerk Reijenga created this modular system for the company, he also designed the famous ‘musical scale’ coat rack. Together with Tomado, Cado and Artimeta, Pilastro was the leader on the market for metal household furniture. This Pilastro unit is pictured in the 1960ies ‘Goed Wonen’ decorating magazine.
