Italian architect and industrial designer Gae Aulenti is one of the few well recognized women in postwar design. Aulenti made a name with a broad spectrum of elegant and innovative work for a.o. Zanotta, Artemide, Guzzini and Tecno.
In the early fifties, the sons of Mariano Guzzini founded a small Italian company, ‘Harvey Creazioni’. After first producing artistic brass objects, the production later was supplemented by the manufacture of high quality lighting equipment in plastic.
