Metal wall or ceiling lamp by Dutch lighting company RAAK. This expressive piece was designed by Hermian Sneyders de Vogel, who developed some designs for the Raak company. This particular model, called ‘Bolide’ ( refers to a meteor ) was produced during the sixties or seventies.
The structure is made of white sheet metal segments, which create an organic, floral looking shape. Very good dent-free condition with very minor usermarks. Complete with the original metal suspension ring. E27 porcelain bulbholder, suitable for modern LED bulbs. Electrical parts have been checked eleborate. RAAK manufacturers label inside. Bulb on pictures not included.

Dutch company RAAK Amsterdam has manufactured a large number of great lighting designs and was one of the Dutch leaders in developing progressive lighting during the fifties, sixties and seventies. The designs are often sophisticated and characteristic and they captured the spirit of these decades very well. The company’s design team worked with national and international designers ( E.J. Jelles, Frank Ligtelijn, H. Sneyders de Vogel, Ton Alberts).
