Rare floor lamp by Dutch lighting company RAAK. This expressive piece was designed by architect and designer Evert Jelle Jelles in the early 1960ies, who develloped a few number of beautiful and progressive lighting designs for the company. This particular model, with a chrome metal base was produced during the seventies. The structure is made of two separate parts which makes it possible to adjust the base in length. The two aluminium shades can be adjust to increase or direct the light, or to create a refined eclipse effect. Manufacturers label inside.

Very good dent-free condition with hardly any usermarks. All moving parts working fine and wiring has been replace through the whole fixture. Comfortable switch dimmer in the wiring.

Dutch company RAAK Amsterdam has manufactured a large number of great lighting designs and was one of the Dutch leaders in developing progressive lighting during the fifties, sixties and seventies. The designs are often sophisticated and characteristic and they captured the spirit of these decades very well. The company’s design team worked with national and international designers ( E.J. Jelles, Frank Ligtelijn, H. Sneyders de Vogel, Ton Alberts).
