Original old Revolt chairs with the attractive smooth surface, made out of ciranol. Clear usermarks and some color difference in the blue shells and also in the frames. No cracks, all is solid. Will only be sold as a set.
From the late 1940ies until early 1980ies, famous industrial designer Friso Kramer worked as an industrial designer at Dutch company Ahrend / De Cirkel, which manufacturered steel furniture for schools and office buildings.
Today, his work is probably one of the most appreciated of its kind, and particulary the pieces developed during the fifties have already become true collector items which are wanted all over the world. A retrospective exhibition of his work was held in the ‘Boymans van Beuningen Museum’ Rotterdam and in the ‘Stedelijk Museum’ in Amsterdam.
