Rare metal armchair by Shiro Kuramata for Pastoe 1986. So not the later 1990s XO production but Pastoe: Previous owner had this chair from the 1980s and there is no XO logo die cast in the armrest! This masterpiece of design reflects the emerging dynamism and maturing creativity of postwar Japan. The silvergrey coating compliments the sculptural shape of the frame and the perforated metal well.
