Fantastic original 1960s set of rare table lights, these metal eyeball lamps or eclisse lamps, designed by J. Hoogervorst for the Anvia company.
A white metal globe is covering an inner half globe shade that is adjustable to increase the light. It is made of dark orange metal and has a refined die cut pattern that gives a warm atmosphere of soft light to the surroundings. Small metal tulip base. The lights also can be mount to the wall, function as an up- or downlight. Both lights are signed with Anvia logo.
The style is typical Italian, inspired by the designs of Magistretti, Arredoluce and Stilnovo. The shape of the lights are also strongly reminding to the Eero Aarnio Ball chair from that same decade!
Both great condition, all is checked and wire has been replaced through the whole fixture. Both lights have 1 normal E14 bulb holder, suitable for modern LED bulbs. Comfortable switch integrated in the wire. Ready for instant use. This could be your perfect pair of bedside night lamps to complete your modernist interior.
