After the second world war, Dutch company Tomado became very successful producing small, affordable household equipment and created with this shelving units probably one of the most symbolic post-war designs, reflecting the new era of consumer prosperity and technological progress. The name Tomado is an abbreviation of ‘ Togt Massa artikelen Dordrecht’.
Besides the regular sized modular wall systems Tomado also developed this smaller sized shelves and ladders. Very practical design, easy to move and build up in many ways; 2 black ladders can carry 2 shelves, but when having 4 ladders, you can create a unit of 123 cm wide. Very stable system thanks to the metal wiring strucure.
Ech single unit comes with 4 small ladders and 6 small teak veneered shelves. All genuin tomado, in first rate condition!
