Italian design icon, this characteristic small table light in the shape of a Toucan ( or Parrot ), made by ‘old-timer Ferrari / Verona, Italy’, late 1960ies. The colorful and figurative design predicts the eighties Italian Memphis movement. Not signed with manufacturers logo but according to research both marked and unmarked are original OTF production. The beak can open and close to dim the light ( one normal E14 bulbholder, requires a common available 7-15 watt smallest bulb type also available in LED ) When opened, the light is 27 cm in height.
Sought after lights nowadays. Condition: no melting areas, no burning marks, no cracks in the beak or in the orange body. Minor discoloration. Working order, all electrical is checked, wiring fine.
