Back in the late 1950ies, Louis van Teeffelen and Webe created these Danish style modular shelving units, which became an instant succes.
This set contains the attractive wooden ‘ant leg’ floor stands, which makes it much easier to build up the system against the wall, and also give it much more support. The black color compliments the teak timber and the brass parts very well, and gives this piece a fantastic elgegant appearance. All parts can be removed or put at any height between the black supports.
This unit will add a warm and cozy atmosphere to any Danish or wood related interior and is in great condition so can be used right away. Don’t hesitate to get in contact for a shipping quote.

During the fifties many Dutch furniture companies followed the success of Webe and started producing comparable teak furniture and wall mounted systems, also using prefab materials for the production, but only Webe offered a very large number additional parts that could be choose from at the time. The company’s name Webe is an abbreviation of the founders’ names Walraven and Bevers, who started the company in the late 1930ies.
