Back in the late 1950ies, Louis van Teeffelen and Webe created these Danish style modular shelving units, which became an instant succes.
This set contains the attractive wooden ‘ant leg’ floor stands, which makes it much easier to build up the system against the wall, and also give it much more support. The black color compliments the teak timber and the brass parts very well, and gives this piece a fantastic elgegant appearance. The shelf of the bookcase can be used as a writing spot, and the case itself offers a maximum of functionality. Next to the cabinet you see a big desk shelf of 50 cm in depth, so together with the cabinets’ shelf, there is almost as much space as one normal desk!
All parts are in good condition, and all complete. All parts can be removed or put at any height between the black supports.
This unit will add a warm and cozy atmosphere to any Danish or wood related interior and is in great condition so can be used right away. ( Stool and gadgets not included ).

During the fifties many Dutch furniture companies followed the success of Webe and started producing comparable teak furniture and wall mounted systems, also using prefab materials for the production, but only Webe offered a very large number additional parts that could be choose from at the time. The company’s name Webe is an abbreviation of the founders’ names Walraven and Bevers, who started the company in the late 1930ies.
