Ultra rare set of two identical metal floor lamps designed by Swiss designer Werner Blaser. These lamps are well documented in both ‘Goed Wonen’ and ’t Spectrum’ catalogue, model number VD01 ( pictures and designers’ name ).

It was produced for only a few years between 1965-67 and I have never encountered them before, so this is an unique opportunity.

The company who distributed the lights was the progressive Dutch Spectrum furniture company, but looking at the original Swiss Ticino plugs, these lights are probably made in a ( Werner Blasers’ ) Swiss studio for export purpose. Werner Blaser was an architect, furniture designer and publicist, defined by his meeting Alvar Aalto and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and classical Japanese architecture. These lights are designed in the 1950s purist minimalist tradition, influenced by Alvar Aalto, Sarfatti and Stilnovo.

Condition: Restored with preservation of authenticity; All electrical parts have been checked, wiring replaced through the whole lamp. Refinished in original color matted off-white. Original Citino plugs re-connected. Bulbholder normal E 27, Suitable for modern LED bulbs. These lamps can be used in your home instantly.
