The subtle saucer is made of sheet metal, and holds a delicate perforated metal diffuserer that brings a refined light pattern through the small holes. The saucer has a fantastic blue-grey color, and this design really stands out in delicacy.
The light has 4 light sources, 1 in the centre, that brings light downwards, and 3 above the shade, that only shine to the ceiling.
Great condition, all electrical parts have been checked, this model is numbered ‘4045’ in the Anvia catalogue of the fifties.
From the 1930ies Anvia developed a number of subtle lighting designs for mainly home use. Thanks to the use of elementary shapes made out of folded steel and slender tubes their designs outshine in an elegant appearance and evoke the spirit of the fifties very well. Nowadays, some of the Anvia designs are quite hard to find, especially in a good condition, being collected all over the world now.
