Lisa Johansson-Pape Clover stool in a fantastic original condition. Much of these stools are worn out during age, or have damages or faded color. This one still is in perfect condition with only minimal wear. Made out of solid pine with attractive woodgrain.

 

 

 

Lisa Johansson-Pape 1907-1989 was a Finnish designer best known for her work in lighting design. After graduating she went on to work for Kylmäkoski designing furniture. She designed furniture for Stockmann in 1937 and in 1942 she designed for the Stockmann lighting factory and also created installations for 150 churches. Her attention turned towards lighting and she co-founded the Illuminating Engineering Society of Finland. Her work was presented in New York’s World Fair of 1939 and the Milan Triennale, where she won an award in 1951. She was the most significant Finnish lighting designer during the midcentury era.
