Solid pine wood side tables, created by Dutch designer A. van Apeldoorn for the company Houtwerk Hattem.
Great natural expression and grain pattern in the wood. The wood construction is very solid, so these tables can easily double as a set of stools!
All in fair condition; normal usermarks by aging; small scuffs or small line in the wood here and there. Very solid construction.

These very tables with its aestethic clean and angular lines, is clearly influenced by ‘De Stijl’ movement. There are no decorative elements, all attention is focused on the appearance of the natural wood grain structure and the striking finger joint wood construction of the panels. The origin of van Apeldoorns work can be found in the hand-crafted house-hold and wood related decorative items, that van Apeldoorn made from the late 1950ies. During the sixties these series of solid wood furniture has been created.
