Solid pine wood table design, created by Dutch designer A. van Apeldoorn for the company “Houtwerk Hattem”.
The origin of this furntire can be found in the hand-crafted house-hold and wood related decorative items, that van Apeldoorn made from the late 1950ies. During the sixties a series of solid wood furniture has been created.
This very table with its aestethic clean and angular lines, is clearly influenced by ‘De Stijl’ movement. There are no decorative elements, all attention is focused on the appearance of the natural wood grain structure and the striking finger joint wood construction of the panels.

Easy going in almost every type of interior. The chair is not verified as a design of Ate van Apeldoorn but it’s a great match, also made of solid pine.
All in fair condition; normal usermarks by aging; small scuffs or small line in the wood here and there. Very solid and stable construction! ( see pictures ).
