Great articulating black and white metal wall light, designed by Hoogervorst for the Anvia lighting company. Thanks to the double metal swinging arm suspension the light can be directed in almost all positions. The shade can move in all directions as well. The fifties Anvia designs are clearly influenced by the designs of Arteluce and Stilnovo. This light is pictured in 1950ies Anvia catalogue, called model 7056 and it was the earlier edition of the later 7105.

During the 1950s, lighting company Anvia became succesful developing a great number of subtle lighting designs, inspired by the innovative products of Arteluce and Stilnovo. Thanks to the use of elementary shapes made out of folded steel and slender tube parts their designs outshine in an elegant appearance and evoke the spirit of Dutch midcentury very well.
