True midcentury Dutch Design classic, this minimal looking but comfortable and durable made sofa designed by Martin Visser for the Dutch Spectrum furniture company, 1950ies. This model is called BR02.
The sturdy angular shapes, open metal structure and use of tubular metal are typical fifties hallmarks. Together with Pastoe, Ahrend de Cirkel and Artifort, ‘t Spectrum was leader on the Dutch market in modernist furniture design during the 20the century.
Very good condition, foam and wool fabric feels and looks almost new. Minor discoloration which is hardly visible.
