For several decades designer Christophe Gevers tried to communicate the principles of good design to the Belgian public. Gevers began his career working as a decorator for ‘De Coene’, in the 1950ies. He determined the look of several private and public interiors ( restaurants, banks ) in Belgium. Besides his decorating work, he also designed a number of furniture and lighting pieces, which are sought after nowadays.
His work have carefully balanced proportions and absence of decoration. In particular this symmetrical brass sconces evoke a very puristic atmosphere. The lights are quite heavy, due to the thick solid brass they are made of ( white iron back suspension ). Fantastic polished brass sconces that will definitely add class to any room, hotel or restaurant.
Hard to find as a set of five identical lights, great opportunity. All in great condition, all electra has been checked. Each light has two E 14 bulb holders.
