In the early fifties, the sons of Mariano Guzzini founded a small Italian company, ‘Harvey Creazioni’. The name is a reference to Harvey, the invisible imaginary friend of James Stewart in the film ‘Harvey’ ( 1950 ). After first producing artistic brass objects, the production later was supplemented by the manufacture of lighting equipment in plastic.
Luigi Massoni was given the task of developing and coordinating the image of the products. In 1972 he created this ‘high gloss’ Italian mushroom table light, called ‘Brumburry’. It is made of a Chrome-plated and white painted metal base with a plastic shade. The lamp has 4 lightsources: 3 under the shade, and 1 on top, hidden inside the half-sphere ). They can be lit separatly with the original multi-switch.
Very beautiful Italian design icon of the 20th century, in a perfect condition ( much lights are damaged by heat, especially around the small hole on top ).
