Large Modernist wall light designed by Willem Hagoort, ca 1956. The light weight black shade is adjustable in heigth by moving the wire through the clever metal balance arm. The complete light is also movable towards left or right. Great slender looking ‘arc’ construction, reflecting the minimal era of the 1950ies. Solid teak wall suspension, all complete with the original wall hooks.
Together with Anvia, Hala and Raak, Hagoort was the leader of the Dutch market in progressive lighting design during the 1950ies.
