Rare fifties floorlight by T. Busquet for Hala Zeist ( Netherlands ).
Metal tripod base, metal stand and a light weight metal shade with attractive die-cut star pattern. The shade’s direction can be directed thanks to the joint at the end of the stand. Hala lights with this insect-like base are also known as the ‘large pinocchio’ because of the similar shaped base of the table version, but this version even has an almost similar shade. The asymmetrical position of the minimal metal pole is a typical fifties hallmark.
Good condition, perfect working order ( wiring and electrical parts checked ), normal traces consistent with age, some small scuffs on the shade ( see pictures ).
