HALA was one of the Dutch progressive lighting companies which became succesful after the second world war, during the rebuilding years. Besides the particular collaboration with Busquet the origin for using slender shapes and optimistic color schemes can be found in the work of French and Italian designers such as Pierre Guariche and Gino Sarfatti.
