( Electrics restored!! ) This great metal floor lamp stands out in dutch quality design and has become a classic icon during the last years. The black and white color combination and the fine metal details of the lamp, it all comes together in this stately, symmetrical lamp. The model number is ST 7128 and it was produced in the fifties and distributed by modernist department stores at the time. Matt black pole and shade, all dent free with minimal marks. All electrical parts have been checked and the light has been completely new rewired through the whole fixture, also in the top ( wire suitable up to 250 volt, suitable for modern E27 LED bulbs ). Also two new pull switches. Often these lights has the bad original wire and switches so this is a great opportunity for a perfect vintage lamp. When shipped, the complete shade can be taken off and packed seperate, its just resting on the pole, no tools needed to put it back.
The lamp has 4 bulbholders; three behind the metal shade, and one in the centre. The light can lit in 2 different ways; the three bulbs shine downwards, the bulb in the middle is directed only to the ceiling.
Hiemstra Evolux was a progressive lighting company located in the Netherlands, founded in 1934 by Hiemstra Evenblij. Their designs were clearly influenced by Dutch and Italian designs of that time ( Anvia, Kalff, Arteluce and Stilnovo ).
