From the mid-1920s to 1960 Dutch designer Louis Kalff established the advertising and design section of Philips. One of his most characteristic designs is this dynamic shaped table light called the ‘Z-lamp’.
Comparing to other Kalff desk lamps from the same era, the ‘Z-lamp’ is quite a large table light. The black metal disc shade compliments the brass very well, very attractive geometric shaped pair of lights that will add class and elegance to your home or office.

Kalff also designed the ‘Evoluon’ conference centre / museum of Eindhoven. This building is unique due to its futuristic sixties design, also resembling a flying saucer. Nowadays, some Kalff lighting designs are quite hard to find and being collected all over the world.
