During the 1950ies, Borsani created this instant classic, the ‘P40’ lounge chair. After 60 years, it still is the most recognisable and appreciated chair that was created by the Tecno company. The chair can be positioned in a lot different ways between fully reclined and completely closed, has an extended leg support with a pull-out metal footrest, and flexible rubber armrests. Black metal frame, ending in 2 small castors at the back.
Good condition: This very one has a velvet kind of fabric, color: grey-green. The foam feels quite soft, but all is in good condtion. All brass handles and buttons are complete and in working order.
In 1953, the Osvaldo family started the Tecno company, a firm that became known for its technology and research-based approach to furniture design. Notable Tecno designs are the P 40 lounge chair and the D 70 sofa, both featuring a system that makes it possible to adjust the seating position in many ways.
