MEASUREMENTS: L 227 X H 72 X D 45 CM

The forward-thinking of Dutch designer Cees Braakman paved the way of success for the Dutch Pastoe furniture company. In his early career Braakman went to the US to study design and production processes. Clearly inspired by designs of Eames and Knoll, Braakman and Pastoe introduced the bent plywood techniques into their first line of modern furniture.

As customer demand changes during the 1960ies, the need to innovate is growing and the Pastoe company will produce furniture with sleek, modernist lines. These very designs are the ones being sought after nowadyas.

The sideboard offered here reflects the modern sixties era very well; it has a clean, angular line without decorative elements. Thanks to the slender metal base the body has an appealing, floating appearance. The dark teak veneer brings elegance and class to your interior.
The earliest catalogue this series was mentioned in was 1964 ( ‘Goed Wonen’ ).

Very good condition.
