Dutch company Pilastro ( Zwanenburg ) became very succesfull producing small metal household equipment. Head designer Tjerk Reijenga created this attractive black and white magazine rack ( one of the trays is very dark brown ). Very symbolic post-war design, reflecting the new era of consumer prosperity. Pilastro also designed the famous metal shelving system and the ‘musical scale’ coat rack.
