DESK / TABLE ‘COMPASS’ DESIGN
MEASUREMENTS: H 77, W 120, D 60
PRICE: SOLD
Great minimal design and very symbolic for post-war Dutch modernism, this metal pyramid table. Though it was designed for more than 50 years ago, it still evokes a remarkable timeless atmosphere.
The frame is made of folded sheet metal, ending in rubber feet. Very solid, and a revolutionary design from the 1950ies, its origin can be found in the compass table by Jean Prouve or Rietveld.
This table has a black metal frame and an off-white trespa top with a refined pattern in it. Quite a small top, not very deep. The top is easy to remove, so you can easily put another top on it ofcourse. Considering its robustness and ergonomic assets a modest sized desk table like this would be a perfect addition for a large studio or minimalist interior. Good condition.
