The early lighting designs created by Raak Amsterdam are very rare and many of them have a remarkable midcentury Italian look.
This large sconce contains two E 27 porcelain bulbholders. All electrical parts have been checked completely and wiring through the whole fixture has been replaced. The light is complete with the original Raak wall suspension part. The light can be hardwired directly into the wall, but if desired a wire can come out of the metal cap. Good condition with only minimal usermarks.

Dutch company RAAK Amsterdam has manufactured a large number of great lighting designs and was one of the Dutch leaders in developing progressive lighting during the fifties, sixties and seventies. The designs are often sophisticated and characteristic and they captured the spirit of these decades very well. The company’s design team worked with national and international designers ( E.J. Jelles, Frank Ligtelijn, H. Sneyders de Vogel, Ton Alberts).
